With previous birthdays I've usually rolled out of bed to a hot, sunny day in either South Africa or West Africa. (South Africa is south of the Equator and thus the seasons are reversed. It's summer down there at the moment.) Last Thursday (5th February) was the first birthday that I've woken up to a snowy landscape! And to make it more special, it was the first snow day that we've had since November. :)
