To celebrate Candace's birthday, the children and I took her to see the Detroit Lutheran Singers perform their Christmas concert series, Gloria, at a beautiful church in nearby Livonia. It was wonderful to sit and listen to this feast of international Christmas music.
It was the perfect opportunity to bless and honour Candace, while also introducing our children to the musical arts, such as orchestras and choirs. They were the youngest people in the audience - and they received many compliments for their excellent behaviour!
Throughout West Africa, Europe, South Africa, the USA, and the South Atlantic Ocean. Our adventure continues as we seek God's will for our life after Mercy Ships.

- I am a 40-year-old South African whose journey with Mercy Ships began in 2007 when I joined the M/V "Africa Mercy" in Liberia. I met my wife Candace in Sierra Leone in 2011 and together we served with Mercy Ships until December 2012. We worked with Mercy Vision in South Africa during 2013, and are now settled with our three kiddos in the USA.
