Mercy Ships Reunion at the Eastern Market...

Last Friday, I found out that fellow Mercy Shippers, Aaron and Jenn, would be in Detroit. Candace was out of town, but the children and I headed to meet them at the Eastern Market on Saturday morning, 16th May.
I've known Jenn since we first served together in the Liberia 2008 Field Service, and she met her husband Aaron on the ship in Sierra Leone in 2011. It was amazing to see these friends for the first time in about 14 years. And like with most Mercy Ships friendships, the conversations came incredibly easily, as if no time had passed. :)
Throughout West Africa, Europe, South Africa, the USA, and the South Atlantic Ocean. Our adventure continues as we seek God's will for our life after Mercy Ships.

- I am a 42-year-old South African whose journey with Mercy Ships began in 2007 when I joined the M/V "Africa Mercy" in Liberia. I met my wife Candace in Sierra Leone in 2011 and together we served with Mercy Ships until December 2012. We worked with Mercy Vision in South Africa during 2013, and are now settled with our three kiddos in the USA.
