After Candace and I (with Anya) spent the day at home on Wednesday, 29th December, we had a final family braai in the evening. We had organised and packed during the day, while our two older kiddos went to Acrobranch, an outdoor zipline course, at Constantia Nek.
Everyone came around for the braai, including my aunt Jen, and we had a lovely last braai with our Cape Town family. We also captured some more family photos - including my Mom with her five grandchildren. She was wearing her special shirt which was used as our pregnancy announcement for Riaan in 2015, and which she has kept updated over the years. It was a late night relaxing with our family, and it was sad to say farewell to Debbie, Lindsay and Nina that night. We had COVID-19 tests scheduled for the following morning at 09h00, and we were heading to the airport at 17h00 in the afternoon. Our time in Cape Town was drawing quickly to a close!
