Exploring Glasgow...

After a few hours of rest, we decided to head out and explore Glasgow by foot. We crossed the River Clyde by walking over the Squiggly Bridge (officially called the Tradeston Bridge). We then headed into the downtown area of Glasgow, where we took in many sights and sounds before walking back over the Glasgow Bridge. It was amazing to take in all the diverse cultures of a big city again!

Walking over the Squiggly Bridge.
The railway bridge to the east.
Our three kiddos enjoying the late afternoon sunshine on the bridge.
Fire launch moored on the Clyde.
Every few metres there was a sign for a rescue ladder and emergency instructions.
My eldest nephew, Rhyenn, looking quite sharp.
Walking under the King George V Bridge.
Street mural on the side of a building.
Walking towards St. Enoch's, a large shopping centre.
Mom and Jesse (with Rhy on the bike behind) follow.
This was the original ticket office for the Glasgow Subway. It is now a Caffe Nero, a popular coffee chain.
The modern entrance to the subway system.
Police officers on bikes.
Interesting double postbox.
A pub near St. Enoch Square.
Riaan catches a ride with Rhy.
Fire engines roar past as we walk back to Shirley's place.
Another postbox. This one looks like he's wearing a heavy rucksack!
