Nashville, Indiana...

Candace and I went away for a fun birthday weekend (6th - 7th February) to Little Nashville, Indiana, located just over an hour to the north-east of us. Nashville is a pretty town that has many quaint shops, unique restaurants, antique stores, and art galleries. It borders Brown County State Park and there are also two covered bridges in the area - both of which we visited. We spent the Saturday afternoon exploring the interesting streets of Nashville. We really enjoyed our time in this special place. Here are some photos taken out and about in Nashville, Indiana.

 Entering Nashville.
Nashville is located in Brown County.
We had a late lunch at the Hob Nob Corner Restaurant.
I had steak on bread. It was good!

 Wooden motorbike.
A view of one of the many galleries.
 Main Street, Nashville.
 Another interesting shop.
 Shops along Main Street.
 Interesting architecture.
We enjoyed browsing in the Village Candlemaker shop.
View looking north up Main Street.
 The Brown County Tourism Centre.
We spent the night at Nashville's Comfort Inn.

Fiery Sunset...

A spectacular sunset from a couple of days ago. These glimpses of beauty make my heart so happy! God is good, all the time; and all the time, God is good!

32nd Birthday...

I celebrated my 32nd birthday on Friday, 5th February. It was a pretty low key affair and the day started with me spending time with my two favourite people. :) Candace made a lovely steak and kidney pie for me which was absolutely delicious! I also had some birthday snuggles from Riaan. The day ended on a somewhat frustrating note with me being diagnosed with pink eye - conjunctivitis! Thankfully I didn't pass it on to either Candace or Riaan!

 Hmmm, delicious!

I love my little family! :)

Family Selfie...

This was our first family selfie taken back on the 13th December, 2015. We were very impressed that Riaan looked at the camera!

Happy family! :)

Indiana Rail Road...

The railway line to the north of us often doesn't have trains running on it, and when it does they certainly aren't very long. But this was definitely the shortest train I've seen going along the Indiana Rail Road track - just the locomotive. Still very cool, though!

Heading near the abandoned school house.
Going past the railway crossing that I drive across on my way to work.
Don't worry - the train isn't about to smash into a pick-up truck. It's on the road far behind. :)
Close-up of the locomotive from a long way away.
