Storm Damage...

We've had a couple of gusty thunderstorms over the past month, and they've even done a bit of damage. This tree was felled by a storm and narrowly missed causing heavy damage to this house. It did, however, cause some damage to the roof of the front porch. Thankfully, no one was hurt!

I do wonder about the health of the soil here, since a lot of trees that are toppled snap at their base - above the roots. I would think that it should have pulled the roots out with it.
