ESL Thanksgiving...

Our church hosted the annual ESL Thanksgiving dinner the Sunday before Thanksgiving. It was a special time to eat a meal with the students. The church provided turkey, but the students brought dishes to share from their own nations. What was particularly encouraging was when students shared things for which they were thankful. So many Muslim students told us that they are most thankful for the ESL ministry at the church - and the friendships that they have built with teachers and church members. :) It was a lovely afternoon!
Throughout West Africa, Europe, South Africa, the USA, and the South Atlantic Ocean. Our adventure continues as we seek God's will for our life after Mercy Ships.

- I am a 40-year-old South African whose journey with Mercy Ships began in 2007 when I joined the M/V "Africa Mercy" in Liberia. I met my wife Candace in Sierra Leone in 2011 and together we served with Mercy Ships until December 2012. We worked with Mercy Vision in South Africa during 2013, and are now settled with our three kiddos in the USA.
