Juvenile Snapping Turtle...

We came across this juvenile common snapping turtle back in June. They are fairly common in the ditches and ponds in this part of Indiana, but this was the first one that I had come across up close this summer.

Heading to the warm concrete slab.
 Warming itself in the sun.
Common snapping turtles have an extremely long tail.
