Weekend in Dearborn...

We took an investigative, relationship-building trip to the Dearborn area of Michigan a couple of weeks ago. Dearborn is a city on the outskirts of Detroit, with a large Middle Eastern population. We enjoyed our time connecting with various people and visiting a couple of churches in the area. We also went to Detroit itself, and on that day we drove past the Islamic Center of America, the largest mosque in the USA, which is sandwiched between two churches in Dearborn.
Throughout West Africa, Europe, South Africa, the USA, and the South Atlantic Ocean. Our adventure continues as we seek God's will for our life after Mercy Ships.

- I am a 40-year-old South African whose journey with Mercy Ships began in 2007 when I joined the M/V "Africa Mercy" in Liberia. I met my wife Candace in Sierra Leone in 2011 and together we served with Mercy Ships until December 2012. We worked with Mercy Vision in South Africa during 2013, and are now settled with our three kiddos in the USA.
