Using an Auto Refractor...

An Auto Refractor is a machine that measures how light changes as it enters a person's eye, and thus is able to find what prescription for glasses or contact lenses a person may need. During my time in the field, I was trained to use the Auto Refractor machine. Using this machine was quite fun - it has a joystick that you toggle to zoom and focus, and feels like a computer game! I enjoyed learning a new skill and interacting with the patients too. Photos thanks to Asanda, the team administrator.

 Just chilling in the car...
Mohau and I caught relaxing in the sun.
