Frozen Pond...

During the very cold weather of last month I was able to walk out onto the frozen pond nearby. I'd never walked on ice before and so I wanted to see what it was like. Slippery, definitely. Candace was with me in case the ice broke, but the pond isn't very deep. I wouldn't have tried it on a pond that I didn't know well. Anyway, when we heard a loud "crack" sound Rusty and I beat a hasty retreat! :)
Throughout West Africa, Europe, South Africa, the USA, and the South Atlantic Ocean. Our adventure continues as we seek God's will for our life after Mercy Ships.

- I am a 40-year-old South African whose journey with Mercy Ships began in 2007 when I joined the M/V "Africa Mercy" in Liberia. I met my wife Candace in Sierra Leone in 2011 and together we served with Mercy Ships until December 2012. We worked with Mercy Vision in South Africa during 2013, and are now settled with our three kiddos in the USA.
