We've had a family of belted kingfishers visiting the pond over the past few weeks. These photos were taken one Saturday when they stayed in the area for the whole day. It was only the second time I've seen a belted kingfisher; the first time was at Summit Lake State Park last year. It was quite exciting to see a whole family of these birds flying around the pond!
Throughout West Africa, Europe, South Africa, the USA, and the South Atlantic Ocean. Our adventure continues as we seek God's will for our life after Mercy Ships.

- I am a 40-year-old South African whose journey with Mercy Ships began in 2007 when I joined the M/V "Africa Mercy" in Liberia. I met my wife Candace in Sierra Leone in 2011 and together we served with Mercy Ships until December 2012. We worked with Mercy Vision in South Africa during 2013, and are now settled with our three kiddos in the USA.
