Shakamak State Park with Mom...

The kiddos and I took Mom to scenic Shakamak State Park on Wednesday, 11th September. Candace was working and thus she was unable join us, but we had a lovely time nonetheless! We played at the playground with the kiddos, enjoyed a picnic lunch overlooking Lake Shakamak, and hiked a rather undulating trail through wooded hills and valleys. The hike passed an old coal mine before returning to the banks of Lake Shakamak.
