Just a brief one to say that Candace and I are slowly settling into life in Indiana. We arrived in the USA over two weeks ago after several lengthy flights. The 18 hours from Johannesburg to Washington DC on South African Airways was the longest I've been on one plane during all my travels!
Thankfully the flights were soon behind us and we both cleared US immigration and customs together. It was a very smooth process with no hassles or issues. :-) We then flew from Washington DC to Indianapolis and then drove up to Fort Wayne for a Mercy Ships couple's wedding. It was a lovely welcome to my time in the USA as we spent most of that first weekend with Mercy Ships family. But more on that in my next blog post!

- I am a 40-year-old South African whose journey with Mercy Ships began in 2007 when I joined the M/V "Africa Mercy" in Liberia. I met my wife Candace in Sierra Leone in 2011 and together we served with Mercy Ships until December 2012. We worked with Mercy Vision in South Africa during 2013, and are now settled with our three kiddos in the USA.
