Day Worker Thank You Celebration 2012...

Last Wednesday (6th June) the Africa Mercy hosted our 200 Day Workers for an event to thank them for their faithful service to Mercy Ships, their country of Togo, and the patients that we treat here.

The celebration started with a lovely African lunch in the dining room, followed by a Thank You presentation in the International Lounge. This included lively African worship, speeches by our Captain and Managing Director, and a few messages from the Day Workers themselves. The afternoon wrapped up with ice-cream and socialising in the Town Square area of the ship, before our lovely Day Workers said their sad farewells on the dock.

Mercy Ships could not do what we do without the amazing efforts of our local Day Workers. They have really blessed us and their country by their selfless efforts in partnering alongside us. God bless you all!
