The French Navy's Mistral-class amphibious assault vessel L9015 - Dixmude - docked in Pointe-Noire last Sunday. (29th December 2013.) This is one of the sister ships of the Mistral, which I had the privilege of touring in Togo in 2010. France maintains a close relationship with its former colonies. During my time with Mercy Ships I have seen French warships in Benin, Togo, Guinea, and now the Congo.
Throughout West Africa, Europe, South Africa, the USA, and the South Atlantic Ocean. Our adventure continues as we seek God's will for our life after Mercy Ships.

- I am a 40-year-old South African whose journey with Mercy Ships began in 2007 when I joined the M/V "Africa Mercy" in Liberia. I met my wife Candace in Sierra Leone in 2011 and together we served with Mercy Ships until December 2012. We worked with Mercy Vision in South Africa during 2013, and are now settled with our three kiddos in the USA.
