Nuclear monitoring station...

The same day that we visited Camogli Hospital, September 20th, we also had a tour of Tristan's nuclear monitoring station. It is operated by the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test Ban Treaty Organisation, or CTBTO, which is linked to the United Nations. This station constantly monitors atmospheric readings and seismic activity. In this way it can accurately determine when a nuclear test is conducted anywhere on the planet.
