We had a tour of St Mary's School, Tristan's only school, on the afternoon of Wednesday, September 25th. Classes cater to 30 children, ranging in age from nursery right up to 16 years of age. Once the student finishes school they can choose whether to continue their studies in the UK or Cape Town, or begin work on the island. The school itself is well-equipped with computers and books, and they certainly have a beautiful view of the sea!
Candace and I had the opportunity to do a Mercy Ships presentation at the school during our last week on Tristan. The children really enjoyed hearing about a life helping others on the sea!
